I just love my pets. I'd go to see a vet for every pet health questions occurring from various reasons. One of the most common happenings are the fights between my two dogs, who go like crazy every once in a while, despite the fact that they are good friends in the rest of the time.
Apart from this strange behavior, which we couldn't find a cause for, my other pet health questions arise from symptoms such as sneezing, teary and running eyes, or warm nose.
An increased scratching frequency can also be a concern, but then I first seek for the parasites myself, before going to the vet. Most of the times I am able to discover and kill the naughty fleas my dogs took from playing outside, in the grass, or from other dogs. Nevertheless, no matter if you manage to catch a flea: you still have to give your pet some treatment, because there may be many of them, and they multiply very quickly. Thus your dog would become embarrassed soon and you'll be sorry that you didn't do the right thing like asking the correct pet health questions to the appropriate persons who are entitled and able to give you advice (like the vets...). I like to believe that vets learn in their vet schools all kind of symptom-disease associations, so they can make a good diagnosis most of the times, although the pets cannot say what hurts them.
I've also heard that the requirements to become a veterinarian are extremely severe, plus the veterinarian colleges and vet tech schools are known for their seriousness and discipline. Vet schools rankings are done on well-set criteria and on extremely elevated standards of practise. It is often said it's easier to become a doctor for humans than one for animals. I tend to believe this, as I encountered this information on many free veterinarian advice websites or online vet cabinets.
I have a piece of advice which will keep you happy and your pets safe: every time you have some pet health questions, ask those who followed a veterinarian career, because they know so many medical things, from dog health issues, to even lizards and chameleons illness symptoms, and it happens that they can offer you free advice.
